Meeting was called to order at 1900 hr. by President Gene Foster.
All members were present or accounted for except Tom Walker who was pronounced absent.
Minutes of the previous meeting were passed out and a motion to accept as printed was 2nded and passed.
Finance Report: $20,000.00 CD was removed from the Bank of America and the checking account was closed and the balance of the checking was deposited in the Town & Country F.C.U. account.
Sealed Ticket Account: 674.66 balance. CD interest was $1,831.43 which was deposited. $200.00 fromk district was also deposited to the C.U. account giving an available balance of $3,755.01 in the Foundation Account. Motion to accept, 2nd, passed.
Lotto Account: as of 6/29, the balance was $5,291.18. Book sales are down. Motion made to accept as presented, 2nd, passed.
Service Officer’s Report: He is attending a Legion meeting but will have a report for the next meeting. Motion to accept, 2nd, passed.
Other Officers’ Reports: Secretary: Post 2 is having a cookout on Friday, July 10.
Dept. Commander’s Report: no report.
Old Business: Sample of different pin designs was presented by Gene and after discussion a motion was made by Rod A. to authorize Gene to purchase the pins for $2,600.00, 2nd by Art, and passed by body.
New Business: Bill has a check for $20,000.00 from the CD and a discussion was held to determine how best to utilize the funds. This was tabled until the SEC so Bill could get information from C.U. on our options.
Art mentioned the Post 2001 golf tournament and motioned that we donate $100.00 for the price of 2 holes to the A.A.M.A. which was 2nd and passed.
Bill Thibodeau asked if there were any funds available to help off-set his expenses as NECA at the National Convention. Rod made motion to allocate $350.00 toward his expenses, 2nd by Art and passed by body.
Motion by Rod to adjourn, 2nd by Art, passed.
