Post 2001- Augusta

Hello Boys, Girls, and Comrades:
 
Oh yes, it is that time of month again for our Minuteman Post AMVETS 2001 meeting. Please join us at Bldg 41, or AAMA Club for our next meeting and bring your non-perishables (?) in for the military families. We also accept $$$$ if you can't or don't want to bring in the canned goods or other non-perishable(?) items. We will meet at the Club at 1800hrs (6:00 pm) on 27 OCT 2009.
 
There are also tickets on sale at the bar for a "state of the art" iPod as well as other items. The iPod may be viewed that night, but the other stuff will hopefully be at the Club to be viewed. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 for the iPod. Please take some tickets and sell, sell, sell. Hopefully AAMA will have pictures and/or descriptions of the items in the drawing for you to take with you. Drawing will be held at the AAMA Christmas Party, and you don't have to be present to win (all Minuteman Post 2001 and families are invited to the Christmas Party). (Date to be determined and will be forwarded).
 
Don't forget, Life membership for AMVETS is going up in January, 2010 to $180.00. If you paid your 2009 dues of $25.00 we will accept a check for $125.00 for your life membership with the proper form prior to Christmas of 2009. If you want the proper form, come to this meeting and see PC Harry Stickney for the form. We need to mail it prior to the 01 JAN 2010. In 2011, I understand the Life Membership for AMVETS is going to $200.00. Please let all your friends know that are not wired to the internet of this change. There is no age differential as in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, etc. $150 in 2009 for all, $180 in 2010 for all, $200 in 2011 for all!!!!!!!!!! How can you go wrong? Inspire others to just join. There are so many out there that don't know we even exist and offer so many benefits to Veterans.
