Freedoms Foundation

    Applications for 2010 are available.  The Freedoms Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching young people the principles upon which our nation was founded.  All AMVET posts are encouraged to canvas their area and schools for deserving high school sophomore candidates.  The deadline for submitting the application is August 6, 2010.

New Pins for the Department of Maine AMVETS

    Department of Maine AMVETS new hatpins are available for sale – $2.00 each.  Each post is invited to take a package of hat pins back to their post.

Service Foundation Benefit Raffle

    The Service Foundation is raffling off Ken Hendrickson’s rendering of General Joshua Chamberlain.  This limited edition, numbered, & signed print is 24-inches by 30-inches.  Posts are encouraged to take some raffle tickets back to sell in their area.
